WOMEN'S RUNNING NETWORK Pilates is an excellent
form of exercise and compliments all sports, but it is not
cardiovascular. The cardiovascular
element is important to our overall health. If you have a medical
condition which affects your ability to exercise then you should always
consult your GP first. Debbie took an interest
in running in 2007 when one of her clients who ran a Women’s Running
Network Group introduced her to it. Although it was tough, and she took
a while to get the breathing right she now loves it. She also noticed that
women have a very individual style of running, some of which may be
detremental to their health, so she decided to train as a WRN leader so
she could apply some of the Pilates principles to her running groups. As a WRN leader, Debbie
has decided to offer a permanent discount of 10% to all WRN members when
they pay for their Pilates classes and she is in the process of setting
up a Pilates class specifically for runners. Another beginner group will
be starting on Saturday May 2nd at 10.45am from the North
Devon Leisure Centre Foyer. It’s a 10 week beginners course, costing
£40 this includes membership to WRN, plus a free t-shirt, water bottle
